ABOUT US

Akantu Coffee CIC is a start-up founded by two siblings born in Rwanda who spent their childhoods in Tanzania and Kenya before moving to the UK.

The East African region that is home to the siblings is known to have the perfect conditions to nurture the best coffee on the planet, but the area is also known to have some of the highest poverty rates in the world, hence why the founders created Akantu; to help foster development in the region by selling the very loved nature given gift that is coffee.

Today, Akantu consists of four friends who work closely with East African coffee farmers, local roasters, and coffee machine providers to bring speciality coffee and top-quality machines to businesses interested in doing more for East African communities.

To showcase a love for humanity in all that we do.

OUR VALUES

To be environmentally conscious while ensuring that our actions are ethical and kind.

To promote unity, have fun and enjoy the gift that is good coffee.
